Getting Back in the Game

It's really hard to blog when it's exam time, but here I am, sitting in front of my laptop, typing away.

I have just one more exam this week and I'll be free as a bird (until January).

I wanted to say that I haven't gone anywhere. It's just that I don't have much time on my hands to sit and make read-worthy posts. But soon enough (don't fret) I will be posting up, well, posts, and hopefully they'll be good. Hopefully.

I decided to post today because (1) I've been meaning to at least update y'all and (2) I wanted to add labels to all my posts, just to make navigation easier.
I have and I hope it's not too confusing. That would be opposite of what I intended.

Anyway.

I've really been interested in quotes these past couple of days. I have a few written out and stuck on my wall, whilst others are yet to be printed.

So I'll just end this update with a quote.

"Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new."
- Albert Einstein

Legally Blonde Musical

I just came home from a musical. Legally Blonde was playing at Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.
The venue was quite amazing. But the show? I thought it was fantastic!
The main character, Elle, was played by an amazing actress, with such an excellent voice. Oh my goodness, she could hit notes I could only dream of hitting.
And the guy who played Emmett was amazing as well. He was a tenor who could really hold his notes.
Even the rest of the cast, Vivian, Warner, Professor Callahan, Paulette, the others, and even the UPS guy. Man, I thought they were all awesome!

I love theatre and I love the performing arts.
I'm glad that I'm able to go to these shows and see these amazing people act, sing and dance.

They are completely amazing and someday, maybe I could join them...?
Just a stray thought.

Anyway, in the near future, hopefully I'll get to see The Sound of Music, The Nutcracker Ballet, and The Phantom of the Opera.

So far, I've seen West Side StoryAladdin, Hairspray, Joseph and the Technicolour Coat, and Mama Mia.

All of them were uniquely special in their own ways.
Man, I just lalalove theatre.

Anyhoo, I've got to get back to this English essay of mine.
Later.

First Video Up

So I've finally posted up one of my original songs on Youtube.
It was written and performed about two year ago, so bear with me.

It's getting pretty cold these days, so make sure you dress warmly.

I'm thinking of starting a posting series for the Promises of God.
So you should definitely stay tuned for that.

The Love Story 3

So today was the concert. The Love Story 3.
My brother, sister and I sang a trio, whilst one of my friends danced.
We sang two other songs in an ensemble.

Man. I love concerts.
Seriously. I do.

I love the thrill of performing for so many people and just being on that stage with the lights, and the smoke machine (that really dries up your throat) and the people watching you and the music hanging in the air.
Oh man. Love it.

My cousins came from Guelph to see it. And I'm grateful that they were able to come.
One of my best friends was also able to come. And I'm very thankful for that too (oh she got baptized yesterday!!)

So everything is good.
Now I'm going to be in my post-concert mood (which means that I miss the excitement of the concert). It happens every time I participate in some kind of big performance or concert.

Anyway, I've got to get to bed. I'm extremely tired.
And for all those who are switching their clocks, enjoy your extra hour of sleep.

Goodnight.

I thought this post was fascinating.

Roses

I was once prophesied over saying that I would be like a rose.

I didn't understand it at first, but then I realized that it's a metaphor.

Roses are beautiful to look at; they come in all sorts of sizes and colours. But one thing that makes the rose beautiful are the thorns.
The thorns protect the rose from most of the humans that would like to pick it up. People know that if you go to grab a rose, like you would a dandelion or a tulip, you would prick yourself with the thorn.

Now think about this:
Isn't it kinda the thorn's job to keep the rose beautiful, pure and untouched?

Thinking about this now... I don't know what to think. Because, well, roses, once their thorns are gone, wither.

So if my thorns were to be taken off, would they grow back?
Or would I be a thornless rose?
Or would I just wither?

Questions, questions, questions.

So here is a challenge:
Be a rose, whether it be in studies, in purity or anything that it could be applied to.
Keep those thorns because they keep you beautiful

(I hope this makes sense to you. It's late, and I had this on my mind.)

And just a quick fact: I love roses :)
